If you wanted to get creative, you could also use this quilt pattern with strips of fabric that represented different holidays, or even other occasions such as weddings or baby showers. Fabric with a very faint striping offered the perfect border because it brought the whole thing together. There are a few wonky spots in the middle when smooshing the big quilt through my machine got a little tricky. I quilted this one myself, and it had been awhile since I'd done free motion quilting on a large quilt like this.
